Laem Charoen Beach

This week has been a bit strange for me.
I think I’ve been feeling a little off due to the Schumann resonance, so I wanted to get out and spend some time grounding at a beach.

Looking on Google, I wanted to visit another beach in the area.
I noticed that Laem Charoen Beach was very popular with locals, so I decided to check it out.
I called a Grab vehicle and headed off this morning.
From Caza it costs between 60-80 baht depending on the time of day.

It was quite overcast with a bit of light rain, but I didn’t want to stay cooped up inside again.
Ten minutes later, I arrived and immediately set off to locate the toilets. From experience, I’ve found that not every beach has public facilities, so this was at the top of my checklist.
Luckily, they are easy to find right at the Laem Charoen Seafood restaurant next door.

Laem Charoen Beach is very wide and very long.
There are plenty of food and drink vendors scattered about without anyone trying to sell you something.
There are plenty of places to sit.
Many food vendors provide seating.
I had read online that this wasn’t a very clean beach.
I can definitely dispute this.
I saw no evidence of rubbish anywhere.
I will come back to this beach again.
On the Monday morning there was a tractor cleaning on the beach.

Laem Charoen Beach has toilets nearby

There is a Café Amazon right opposite Lam Charoen Beach .
They have a small playground at the rear.
Next door is a very big seafood restaurant.
At the rear of the restaurant you can see the fishing boats heading in and out.
This restaurant also has toilets that are available to everyone, for 10 baht.
The toilet I used were very large and very clean.
There is also a free toilet block next to the Police box just down from Amazon.
On Mondays the beach vendors have a day off, so expect a very quiet time apart from the lottery salespeople.

I was enjoying a coffee at Amazon, and bumped into a fellow Aussie and we stayed and had a good chat.
After the coffee and chat I headed over the road to do some grounding.

Quick Charity Donation at Laem Charoen Beach

I was immediately approached by 2 young ladies looking for donations to a Chang mai orphanage.

Anyone that knows me, knows I have a soft spot for orphans.
I have given money to this organization a few times and each time you get a bag or a shirt depending on the size of your donation.
I donated 1000 baht and the girl gave me 2 shirts with a smiley face on.
I was the first person to make a donation that day they said.
I saw they had received a few more donations after mine which was good to see.

From what I have seen on Google,this beach is extremely popular in the evenings.

All in all I enjoyed Laem Charoen Beach very much.
The beach was clean, plenty of food and drink vendors around.
The one thing I should mention is accessibility.
I didn’t notice any concrete paths around the beach area, so it would be very difficult for anyone in a wheelchair.
There is a small road that could be used, as there are traffic barriers preventing vehicles from entering.

Its definitely worth a visit if you’re not looking to travel far outside Rayong city.
