Good Banking Experience

Last week I tried setting up another bank account as a backup.
SCB has few outages on my phone recently, and its very inconvenient in this digital country.
I went to the Kasikorn in central plaza thinking i had everything i needed.
WRONG
They wanted me to take my rental property paper to the embassy in Bangkok to certify that I lived there. (as if i have nothing better to do)
I politely said no thanks and left.
I then asked the management at Caza to give me a lease agreement.
30 minutes later I went to a closer branch and said i would like to open an account.
They checked my visa (1 year retirement) my lease agreement (12 months)
I also took a copy of last months rental bill,electricity and water.
When the account manager saw that I was born in Liverpool, she was extremely excited to tell me she loved the Liverpool FC. (should of worn my jersey)
All done in about an hour. New card 250 baht.
The bank sets your app up for you.
This was a very positive banking experience.
