About Me
Personal Background
I am a 59-year-old individual with a diverse and fulfilling life journey. My experiences span across various fields, each contributing to my personal growth and understanding of the world.
Military Service
I proudly served in the Royal Australian Navy, where I gained invaluable skills and discipline that have shaped my character. My time in the navy instilled in me a sense of duty, teamwork, and resilience, which I carry with me to this day.
Professional Career
Following my military service, I dedicated 24 years to the steel manufacturing industry. This role allowed me to develop a strong work ethic and an appreciation for craftsmanship. Working in steel manufacturing taught me about precision, safety standards, and the importance of quality control in production processes.
Teaching Experience
After my extensive career in manufacturing, I embarked on a new adventure by teaching English in Thailand for seven years. This experience not only enhanced my communication skills but also deepened my cultural awareness and adaptability. Teaching abroad was incredibly rewarding as it allowed me to connect with students from diverse backgrounds and contribute to their educational journeys.
Volunteering Efforts
In the last two years, I have devoted my time as a volunteer for The Salvation Army. This role has been particularly meaningful as it enables me to give back to the community and support those in need.
In summary, my life has been marked by service—whether through military duty, professional endeavors, teaching abroad, or community volunteering. Each chapter has enriched my life and equipped me with unique perspectives that I cherish deeply.
