Back To Australia

Heading back to Australia on Tuesday.
I had booked a return flight when I applied for my visa. (In case the retirement visa failed)
I could of canceled, but its not like i am flat out doing anything and I wanted to catch up with my mum.
When I booked the ticket I didn’t really spend a lot of time looking at the details.
This definitely wont be the case going back.

I leave Bangkok Monday and 2 hours later will arrive in Singapore.

After visiting the smoking room and potentially shopping for 4 hours
I will be on the next one back to Melbourne. (It was too much mucking around trying to change the destination)

So after a quick breakie at maccas, it will be time to check into the flight to the Gold Coast.

I will be at Tambourine Mountain for a few weeks.
Its Monday and I left Rayong this morning at 10 am and got to the hotel right on 12 o’clock.
Great run on the freeway until just before Bangkok.
A pickup truck on its side was blocking the center lane, causing everyone to slow down and sticky beak.
The first flight I saw from the rooftop was a Jetstar flight.
Its currently raining in Bangkok, so its going to be nap time.
I just had a great lunch downstairs and noticed a delicious looking pizza on the menu, so I know what i am having tonight,

This is how i amused myself this afternoon.
Checking the flight radar app and then filming it landing.
I have been unable to do the online check in .
It just says its unavailable for this flight.
I have a suspicion its overbooked, as its happened to m before.
I am planning to leave early tomorrow to make sure i am at the front of the line.
I wouldn’t normally care but i have a connecting flight.
The 3 flights
Everything went to plan.
Out of the 3 flights only 1 was delayed.
The flight from Melbourne to the gold coast was delayed half an hour due to the storms in Sydney.

The highlight of the trip for me was the transit lounge in Singapore airport
The airport is massive, and absolutely spotless.
I will definitely be going back there at some point just to do some shopping.
Its only just over 2 hours to fly from Bangkok
Here are just some quick clips I took at Singapore airport
The flight from Singapore to Melbourne was only about 7 hours.
However when we got to Melbourne there were no spare gates so we had to get off and catch buses to the terminal
Then i had the longest exit at Melbourne airport. I had no bags to pick up and it still took an hour to get out.
The so called smart gates are for every passport holder
Some people in front took over a minute to use the touch screens.
It doesn’t sound long but if there are 50 people in front of you then you ar in for a wait.
When i finally exited the airport to go have a smoke it was freezing and raining.

Th picture above was from my flight from Melbourne to the Gold coast
It was only 6 degrees in Melbourne so i was freezing in just shorts and a t shirt.

Finally got to the Gold coast late afternoon and it wasn’t much warmer than Melbourne
The next morning dressed in warmer clothes we went to see Dad in Robena Hospital.
He had had the hip replacement operation the day before.
