Today is the start of Songkran
“Thailand’s water festival”
My Songkran Expectation

My Songkran Reality

“Early Bird” Songkran irony!
You’re standing there, fully geared up like a tactical water-warrior, and the only thing moving is a soi dog or a breeze.
This was the scenario for me this morning.
I walked to the shops early.
Had my phone in a waterproof bag just in case.
This wasn’t needed at 7:30 as I was the only one in the street
The “Late-Riser” Lifestyle
The Noon Awakening:
This is the part I really struggle with here.
The older I get the earlier I get up
By midday, the energy will flip 180 degrees.
The music will be pumping, the pickup trucks loaded with water barrels roll out, and the “quiet morning” is officially over.
Just in time for my nap
I had put my phone in a waterproof bag just in case.
I hadn’t really looked at the orientation of it.
Here’s a pic i took this morning

I am hoping for a change this afternoon.
Caza v1 serviced apartments is completely booked out, so hopefully the visitors will all go outside to enjoy some water fun
Have a legendary Songkran!
Stay dry as long as you can, and good luck with the “Noon Awakening.”
