My Quest2 VR

My latest toy the Quest 2 vr headset
Good morning, or as I like to say “a Roon Sa WAT”
Until I went to QLD I had never experienced VR.
Thanks to Dayne, I got my first look at what it actually did and loved it.
Once I was settled here i went online and ordered one and a charging station.
The charging station has been a God send as without it I would of been buying boxes of batteries.

Once I figured out how to set it up, i quickly found some flight simulators in the Horizon store.
WW1 fighters is absolutely amazing.
Very simple controls with amazing graphics.
Flying around and having dogfights is fantastic.
The first 30 minutes you really have to get used to the motion side of things.
Especially when you dive quickly It really feels like you are flying.

One of the missions requires you to shoot down the barrage balloons.
You have a flare gun in a box in the cockpit, so you need to fly and aim out the cockpit.
Its great to see the balloon explode, catch fire and slowly sink to earth.
Meanwhile there will be enemy fighters shooting at you.

Then I discovered WW2
This one has you taking off from aircraft carriers and dog fighting with Japanese zeroes.
It is a lot of fun.
The graphics are extremely good and it definitely gives you the feeling of being there.
Missions include attacking ships, factories and lots of dog fighting.
Then I got was Dawn of jets

This video below shows what you see when you are in the cockpit.
It is amazing.
You need to complete missions or challenges to unlock new jets.
This game also has carrier landings and its extremely good
I am currently trying out the star wars game that Dayne first showed me.
I can only play for short periods as I get disoriented pretty quick.
The flight sims I find easier as I am seated.
