Its almost most time for the nomad to head off again.
Its been a year and a half since i left Thailand and a few things have changed.
I am now heading to Rayong Thailand.

A Brief description of Rayong
Location and Overview
Rayong is a city located on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand and serves as the capital of Rayong Province. It encompasses several tambons (sub-districts), including Tha Pradu and Pak Nam, along with parts of Choeng Noen and Noen Phra, all within the Mueang Rayong district.
Population and Economy
As of 2016, Rayong had an estimated population of 64,256 residents. The city’s economy is primarily driven by fishing, making it a significant producer of fish sauce in Thailand. Additionally, Rayong has developed into a hub for the chemical and automotive industries. Notably, Ford Motor Company established an assembly plant in Rayong in 2012 to enhance its presence in the ASEAN region, employing around 2,200 individuals.
Historical Significance
Historically, during the late Ayutthaya period, General Phaya Tak used Rayong as a base to build his navy before becoming King Taksin. The city has since evolved into a tourist destination with historical sites such as Yomjinda Road, which follows the Rayong River.
Cultural Aspects
Rayong is recognized for its cultural heritage and natural beauty. The community has made efforts to rehabilitate its old town area, attracting tourists interested in exploring its history and local traditions.

In 2017, Rayong was named an Asia-Pacific City of the Future by the Financial Times, highlighting its potential for growth and development.
