Flying to the Gold coast

Finally chose a date

For those who dont yet know, Nan and Pop are moving to QLD to stay with Lyndsey and steve.
No more freezing victorian winters.

They will be located at Tamburine mountain. Check out the link for more information.

Poppy is leaving here about the 2nd of April and driving to the GC with steve and the cat.
As i wouldnt have anywhere to stay I am flying to the Gold coast with Nanny.
I will return to Melbourne at the start of May.

This will allow me to catch with Hugo again before I go.
Its going to feel funny not having this as my address after so long.
Lucky my mailing list is quite short.

Contacted the Bank

I didnt realise this but you need to contact your bank if travelling interstate to avoid cards being cancelled.
I have had a card cancelled by westpac before and it wasnt fun.
They had been told i was overseas.

Skip Bin arrived Friday Morning

The skip Bin arrived early Friday morning.
Poppy was able to get his 12 years of hoarding in the bin.
By the time I got back from work, I was greeted by this.

Well Done Poppy !!!

Bill came down Saturday ( thank God) and we were able to get out all of the big stuff that was going to the Salvos and to the tip.
All sleeping on the inflatable beds now until the 28th.

Landed Yesterday

Left Dromana at 10 am and had a good run to the airport.

Terminal 4 is very big, so we had quite a walk to get to Maccas.
There is 2 maccas at terminal 4 but if you have luggage you can only go to the one on the top floor.
I hired the luggage trolley for $5 and it was great.
Had lunch and walked back to the start of Terminal 4 as that is where Jetstar check in is.

Last smoke before going to security

Check in was quick and mum was given a wheelchair.
The jetstar attendant asked me if i was ok to push the wheel chair.
Of course i am and proceeded to push it forward.
No-go……she said ….you have to release the wheel brakes.
Ok, off we went through to security

Everything went well until we got to the end of the travelator. It ends in a ramp with a lip.
I had a coffee in my hand, the bump caused it to splash on the back of my mums neck.
Luckily it was a bit cooler by this stage.

Gate 47 was the furthest gate
Almost time to board

On Last

We were the last to board as they needed the mobile lift.
It was being used at a different terminal so they put everyone else on first.
No big deal as there was no climbing stairs

The flight was on time and we landed in heavy rain at the Gold coast.
It has rained ever since.
Lyndsey and dayne were there to meet us.
As we were the last off, there was not waiting at the baggage carousel as our bag was the only one left.

Maccas Gold Coast

The trip to the house took approx 50 minutes.
very windy road up the mountain to the house.
I am looking forward to seeing me of the house tommorrow when the rain is meant to stop.
