About me is just that.
I created this blog to share my experiences from a life well-traveled.
Whether I’m talking about my time at sea or my latest knitting project, I’m glad you’re here.
When I’m not writing, you’ll likely find me practicing Tai Chi or enjoying the coastal breeze.

me after my stroke

About ten years ago, I survived a brainstem stroke that completely reset my life, requiring me to relearn how to walk and speak.
My recovery taught me that healing is an ongoing process—one that thrives on focus and creativity.
Today, hobbies like knitting and building WordPress sites play a huge part in my life.
Crafting a complex knitting pattern or structuring a website isn’t just enjoyable; it’s active neuroplasticity at work.
Concentrating on those steps, logic, and patterns gives my brain the workout it needs while giving me a creative outlet to build something meaningful.
